- Think of a word that is easy to rhyme with such as goat.
- Begin clapping your claps slowly, encouraging your child to maintain your rhythm.
- Say the word while you clap your hands.
- Have your child say a rhyming word while you continue to clap.
- Maintain the clapping rhythm while he thinks of more rhyming words. You could also take turns coming up with rhyming words until you run out.
- Choose a new word and play again.
Play music and say the rhyming words to the beat of the music.
Caution:
Watch out for bad words!
